Glimmer

A Poem

Bright light surrounds me

Enormous glimmers of hope

Shining unto me

With its audacity

I can’t help but shut it down

With these blurry eyes I closed

My body feels weary

My knees buckled to my toes

The ground underneath me, shaky

Wondering where this will take me

Wishing to go further

I offered it all in surrender

Cast your cares, you tender being

Cast your heart and hear it beating

Cast your mind and know you’re willing

Cast your soul and find yourself conquering

A small glimmer showed

I slowly put my eyelids slit on hold

Just a glimmer of wonder I need behold

All the grace I was bestowed

Hope

Just a tiny glimmer

To keep me afloat

To shine light to a wanderer

To sing lullabies to a dreamer

Breathe

Heal

Rest

Be still

Know...

Anna Evans

I am a writer at heart. My love for art and my creativity was stunted at a young age because of an elder’s opinion, as I was catapulted into a profession that I offered my love and passion for, and held it noble for 30+ years of my life.

I am a wife and a mom to 2 brilliant young adults/old souls. Going through midlife and empty-nesting, I have learned the power of true human connection.

I have a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy with 30+ experience in clinical practice, administration, academia, and academic administration. I am a Board-Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist, a Certified Health Coach, a Certified Life Coach, and a Certified Yoga Teacher.
