A Poem

Into the woods I go

Seeking answers of the unknown,

Communing with nature,

I rest in her beauty. 

I feel every tree’s heartbeat. 

I hear the melody

of all the wildlife around me. 

I breathe in

The musty smell of the earth. 

I feel at peace. 

Relieved of burdens I carry,

I see rays of sunshine

Peaking through the branches.

Beams of hope

Scattered amongst the forest floor. 

I smile. 

Feeling life flood my being

I am alive. 

Rejuvenated

By mother nature’s nourishing touch,

I am grateful

For all she provides.
